In Nepal, the aakhi jhyal is the carved wooden “eye window” of an old Newari house. It's the window you lean out of to watch the street, call to a neighbour, and see the whole neighbourhood come alive.
Aakhi Jhyal Events is that window for the Nepali community in Palmerston North. We bring the laughter, music and gatherings of home to Aotearoa, so for one evening the city feels a little more like Kathmandu, Pokhara, or wherever home is for you.
